(Marshalltown, Iowa) - The Marshalltown Arts & Civic Center (MACC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jaqueline Diaz as the organization’s new Events & Experience Coordinator. Diaz, a well-known member of the Marshalltown community, officially joined the team on Monday, March 23rd.

Diaz comes to the MACC after five successful years at Wayward Social, where she became a staple of the local hospitality scene. Her deep roots in Marshalltown and her extensive background in high-energy event management make her a natural fit for the MACC’s events team. Her skills and experience will support the MACC’s vision to serve as a centralized meeting and gathering space for business, art, and celebration.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Jaqueline to our growing team,” said Deb Borton, Chief Operating Officer of the MACC. “When we began our search, we had high hopes for the level of talent we wanted to bring in, and Jaqueline truly exceeded all of them. Her experience and her heart for this town make her the perfect person to help elevate the experiences we offer here.”

In her new role, Diaz will work closely under the leadership of Madisun VanGundy, Brand & Events Experience Supervisor.

Diaz is eager to bring her energy to the MACC’s welcoming atmosphere.

“I’m so excited to join the MACC team! Marshalltown is my home, and getting to serve this community in such a beautiful, creative space is something I’m very grateful to get to do,” said Jaqueline Diaz. “I’ve spent years seeing friendly faces around town, and I can’t wait to help everyone host their events here. I’m thrilled for this opportunity and look forward to helping people create memorable experiences!”

Community members are encouraged to stop by the MACC to welcome Jaqueline to her new role and explore the versatile event spaces available for upcoming spring and summer bookings. The MACC’s walk in hours are Wednesday – Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
